Bonnie joined the Northshore Business Council staff after a 42 year career with South Central Bell (a/k/a BellSouth and AT&T). Throughout her extensive career, she worked as a direct liaison to the Louisiana Public Service Commission (LPSC) on industry issues such as regulatory framework to accomplish strategic objectives that impacted the evolution to a competitive telecom environment and ultimately, significant de-regulation of the telecom industry.
Following her regulatory work, she later accepted the position of Regional Director-AT&T wherein she worked as the primary point of contact and official spokesperson for state elected officials, City/Parish Councils, Mayors and other local government entities. As a registered Lobbyist, she worked with her state delegation of elected officials covering seven (7) Parishes advocating critical areas of interest in legislation impacting the telecommunications industry.
Since her retirement from AT&T in 2012, Bonnie has invested her time and energy through her continued membership in the Northshore Business Council. She has worked as an Independent Consultant committed to the highest integrity and ethical standards while serving the needs of the Northshore region’s business community and the quality of life issues for its’ citizens.
In June 2015, she accepted a position with the Northshore Business Council where she now serves as their Executive Director. Bonnie is a member of the East St. Tammany Chamber, the St. Tammany West Chamber where she serves on the Advocacy and Public Policy Committee, the Greater Hammond Chamber, Chairwoman of the Terra Bella Advisory Council, and appointed to the St. Tammany Parish Tourist and Convention Commission.
