It took longer than expected, but when the Metropolitan Crime Commission delivered its first St. Tammany Criminal Justice Accountability report to the Northshore Business Council, the news was good.

The numbers reflected positively for the parish and resulted in what commission President Rafael Goyeneche called two recommendations that “are not major … just tweaking to be more effective and efficient.”

The report was officially presented at a noon luncheon April 5 at The Greystone in Mandeville that featured Orleans Parish District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro as the keynote speaker.
